Join us as we celebrate the August Full Moon. The August Full Moon is known as the Sturgeon Moon, Dog Day's Moon, Fruit Moon, Dispute Moon, Corn Moon, and Moon when all Things Ripen. It is harvest time. In old times, it would be a time to take stock and prepare for the coming winter. You would need to make sure you were going to have enough for your family as well as your livestock to survive.
The scents of the moon are frankincense and heliotrope (a purple plant that turns toward the sun).
The dieties are: Ganesha, Thoth, Hathor, Diana, Hecate, and Nemesis.
